Established in 1957 as the British Computer Society, BCS – The Chartered Institute for IT – is the leading body for those working in the IT and Information Systems fields. With a world-wide membership of over 65,000 members in over 100 countries, BCS is the qualifying body for Chartered IT Professionals (CITP).

BCS is licensed by the Engineering Council to award Chartered Engineer status (CEng) and Incorporated Engineer status (IEng); and more recently by the Science Council to award Chartered Scientist status (CSci).

British Computer Society or BCS as it is popularly known has certified over 70,000 business analysts and it’s simply the most powerful name out there! Successfully completing a certified course from BCS has become a judging criteria for many employers and hence getting a certificate is a must for anyone who aspires to be a business analyst.
